Pesto Garlic Cheese Bread (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 1 loaf French baguette or Italian bread

→ Spread

02 - 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
03 - 3 cloves garlic, minced
04 - 1/2 cup basil pesto

→ Toppings

05 - 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
06 - 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
07 - Fresh basil leaves, chopped
08 - Salt and pepper to taste

# Instructions:

01 - Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Slice the bread lengthwise to create two long halves.
02 - In a small bowl, combine the softened butter and minced garlic. Spread the garlic butter mixture evenly over both bread halves, then layer with basil pesto.
03 - Sprinkle the mozzarella and Parmesan cheese evenly over the prepared bread halves.
04 - Bake for 10-12 minutes until cheese is completely melted. For a golden brown top, broil for an additional 1-2 minutes, watching carefully to prevent burning.
05 - Remove from oven, garnish with fresh chopped basil and season with salt and pepper if desired. Slice into portions and serve immediately while warm.
