Spaghetti Squash with Marinara (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Main Components

01 - 1 medium spaghetti squash
02 - 2 cups marinara sauce (store-bought or homemade)
03 - 1 tablespoon olive oil
04 - Salt and pepper to taste

→ Garnish

05 - Grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
06 - Fresh basil leaves (optional)

# Instructions:

01 - Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Cut the spaghetti squash in half lengthwise and scoop out the seeds.
02 - Drizzle the cut sides with olive oil and season with salt and pepper. Place the squash cut side down on a baking sheet and roast for 30-40 minutes, until fork-tender.
03 - While the squash is baking, heat the marinara sauce in a saucepan over medium heat until thoroughly warmed.
04 - Once the squash is cooked, use a fork to scrape the flesh into spaghetti-like strands. Serve topped with warm marinara sauce and garnish with Parmesan cheese and fresh basil if desired.

# Notes:

01 - For a more al dente texture, reduce cooking time by 5-10 minutes. The squash should yield easily to a fork but still have some firmness.
