Snickerdoodle Apple Pie Bars (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Base

01 - 17.5 oz Krusteaz Snickerdoodle cookie mix
02 - 1 egg, beaten
03 - 1/2 cup butter, room temperature
04 - 21 oz canned apple pie filling

→ Glaze

05 - 1/2 cup powdered sugar
06 - 1-2 tablespoons milk, adjust for consistency

# Instructions:

01 - Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and spray an 8x8 inch baking dish with cooking spray.
02 - In a large bowl, combine the cookie mix (reserve the included cinnamon mixture), egg, and butter. Mix until a dough forms.
03 - Press about 2/3 of the dough into the prepared baking dish, reserving the remaining 1/3 of the dough.
04 - Spread the apple pie filling evenly on top of the pressed cookie dough.
05 - Drop the reserved 1/3 of the dough in small pieces over the apple pie filling. Sprinkle the reserved cinnamon and sugar mixture over the top.
06 - Bake in the preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for 50-55 minutes until golden brown.
07 - Allow the dessert to cool completely. In a small bowl, mix the powdered sugar and milk, adding milk gradually to reach desired consistency.
08 - Drizzle the glaze over the cooled dessert. Cut into 9 squares or desired portions and serve.
