Ground Beef Tacos (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Main Filling

01 - 450g ground beef (85/15 lean-to-fat ratio)

→ Taco Seasoning Option 1

02 - 3 tablespoons homemade taco seasoning

→ Taco Seasoning Option 2

03 - 1/2 tablespoon chili powder
04 - 1/2 tablespoon ground cumin
05 - 1/2 tablespoon paprika
06 - 1/2 tablespoon dried oregano
07 - 1 teaspoon garlic powder
08 - 1 teaspoon onion powder
09 - 1 teaspoon Kosher salt
10 - 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

→ Additional Ingredients

11 - 1 tablespoon tomato paste
12 - 3 tablespoons water
13 - Kosher salt to taste
14 - Fresh cracked black pepper to taste

→ For Serving

15 - Street taco flour tortillas
16 - Shredded lettuce
17 - Shredded cheese
18 - Sour cream
19 - Taco sauce

# Instructions:

01 - Heat a large sauté pan over medium-high heat. Add ground beef with a couple pinches of salt and pepper, cooking until browned and thoroughly cooked, breaking it apart with a spatula throughout the process.
02 - Add taco seasoning (either homemade or the spice combination), tomato paste, and water to the pan. Stir until all ingredients are well incorporated with the beef.
03 - Reduce heat to low and simmer the seasoned beef for 2-3 minutes, stirring occasionally to develop flavors. Season to taste with additional salt and pepper if needed.
04 - Spoon the ground beef mixture into flour tortillas and top with shredded lettuce, cheese, sour cream, and taco sauce according to preference.

# Notes:

01 - For best results, warm the tortillas before serving either on a dry skillet or wrapped in damp paper towels in the microwave for 15-20 seconds.
02 - Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
