Preheat oven to 220°C (425°F). In a 20x20 cm (8×8 inch) baking dish, combine the rice, French onion soup and beef broth.

Arrange the butter slices evenly on top of the rice mixture.

Cover the baking dish tightly with aluminum foil and bake for approximately 25 minutes.

Remove the foil and continue baking for an additional 20-25 minutes, until the rice is tender and all liquid has been absorbed.

Remove from oven and let stand for 5 minutes before serving.
