Heat a large cast iron skillet over medium high heat. Once hot, add oil.

Add peppers to the hot oil, spreading them out in an even layer. Cook undisturbed for 45 seconds or until browned on bottom. Turn them and continue cooking, turning occasionally, until blistered on all sides (about 4-5 minutes).

A few seconds before removing peppers from heat, add minced ginger to the pan and sauté briefly. Drizzle peppers with soy sauce and honey, then toss to combine.

Transfer peppers to a serving plate and garnish with salt and sesame seeds. Serve immediately, with aioli for dipping if desired.
