Blackberry Lemonade (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 4 cups water
02 - 1 cup sugar
03 - 2 cups fresh blackberries
04 - 1 cup lemon juice

# Instructions:

01 - Combine 1 cup of water with the sugar and berries in a small saucepan.
02 - Bring the mixture to a gentle boil, smashing the berries with the back of a fork or a potato masher to release some of their juice.
03 - Once the sugar has dissolved, about 2 to 3 minutes of cooking, remove from the heat and allow to cool slightly.
04 - Strain the seeds from the syrup using a fine strainer or cheesecloth into a large pitcher. Discard the seeds.
05 - Stir in the lemon juice and remaining 3 cups of water.
06 - Chill and serve with ice.
