Patriotic Berry Trifles (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Base

01 - 8 ladyfinger cookies

→ Fruits

02 - 2 cups fresh strawberries, sliced
03 - 1 cup blueberries

→ Cream Layer

04 - 1 block (225g) cream cheese, softened
05 - ⅓ cup powdered sugar
06 - ¼ cup milk
07 - ½ teaspoon vanilla extract

→ Serving

08 - 4 cups (270ml) or 4 mason jars (270ml)

# Instructions:

01 - Slice two strawberries lengthwise completely in half, keeping stems intact. Hull and slice the remaining strawberries and set aside.
02 - In a large bowl, combine softened cream cheese and powdered sugar. Use an electric mixer to cream together until smooth and fluffy.
03 - Add milk and vanilla extract to the cream cheese mixture. Mix again until fully incorporated and smooth. Set aside.
04 - Break apart ladyfingers and arrange a layer on the bottom of each serving cup or jar.
05 - Carefully spoon a layer of the cream cheese mixture over the ladyfingers in each cup.
06 - Arrange a layer of sliced strawberries over the cream layer.
07 - Add another layer of broken ladyfingers followed by another layer of cream cheese mixture.
08 - Top with a generous layer of fresh blueberries.
09 - Finish each trifle with a half strawberry on top. Optionally add extra berries and whipped cream for decoration.
10 - Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate if not serving immediately to allow flavors to meld.

# Notes:

01 - These patriotic trifles can be assembled up to 4 hours ahead of serving time.
02 - For a more festive presentation, serve in clear glasses to showcase the red, white, and blue layers.
