Add a single layer of tater tots to a 12-inch cast iron skillet. Distribute the remaining tater tots evenly over top.

Sprinkle the crumbled bacon, then the shredded cheddar cheese evenly over the tater tots. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

If natural wells aren't obvious, use a spoon to create 6-8 divots depending on how many eggs you plan to use. Gently crack an egg into each well, carefully releasing to avoid breaking the yolks.

Bake the totchos at 200°C (400°F) for 22-25 minutes, or until the egg whites are completely opaque.
